All the food was good. Except for the doubles the bars was too thick and the Channa dry. But all the other food was excellent. The pepper sauce is on point the currants rolls and coconut baked item are phenomenal. The soups are a 10/10. They also serve food too. Everything from bbq to kruma. Small location. No seating. Street parking.

Took Trinidadian family here and while the doubles were great the roti and currant rolls were average at best and totally bland. We ordered 2 goat roti, three chicken roti, 4 vegetarian roti and 5 currant rolls, and the group consensus was, “what happened to the flavor?” This wasn’t the case for the 5 doubles we ordered though. Total bill was well north of $100. A one and done for us.

The food is always good. There was so many workers, ( someone opening the door/security, and then there was a worker on the main floor restocking/replenishing).. so many people, I guess everything was moving smooth. But to me, It was just feel a little chaotic, as to where to stand to wait for your order. There was deliveries, people using the kiosk, people in the shop ordering bake and shark having to pay for it first and then going and waiting for it. FOOD WAS GREAT!

This will forever be my go-to place whenever I visit New York to stock up on Trini foods and snacks to take back to Virginia. I called to place a same-day pickup order for 21 parathas, and Freda informed me that an order of that size should normally be placed at least 24 hours in advance. Even so, she graciously accommodated my request so I could pick it up the same day. I arrived during one of their busiest times because I also wanted to purchase current rolls, which are only available during certain hours and tend to sell out quickly. Freda took care of my entire order, and I was in and out in a very timely manner. Everyone was incredibly kind, and the customer service was top-notch. I truly appreciate the excellent service and will definitely continue coming back whenever I'm in New York.

I bought cupcakes, currants roll, cassava pone and sponge cake. The lines were long but the workers, worked swiftly and in an order so the waiting time was not bad at all. It's been about a couple of years since I've been to the restaurant( about 5 years ) or more the deserts were tasty, only one thing I wish were the same the size of the currants roll, they are cutting them very small and selling them cheaper than any other bakery I know. Next time I go back to Brooklyn I will make sure I have more cash to buy food and pastries. They don't take CARD of any kind, only CASH, CASH, CASH.

This food is so good.. vegan options are phenomenal 👌😌 portions are large for one sitting though everything so good and luv the pumpkin mash.

My mom went there for the first ever this morning....well. The shrimp doubles tasted like they were straight from a doubles spot in Trinidad, the best bara I've tasted in NYC. The beef roti was delicious & they did not skimp on the meat, as some places might. The cassava poe, delightful!

Very nice staff and the food is always fresh. Cash only. I have only had the Chana doubles, currant rolls, coconut rolls and cassava pone. The currant and coconut rolls as well as Chana doubles are all excellent and I re-order them constantly. Vegan friendly and great prices !
